I just started Ultima 6. There's a crackling sound when I think it is supposed to be silent, like when I am reading character's dialog. Unless there's supposed to be music there. The music plays fine when I am not talking to someone. Anyone know how to fix the crackling?

Also - where are save games stored? Can I make backups of them?

I'm on an old MacBook Air running High Sierra.
