I've noticed during several combats after I kill a monster that I get a message "phantom killed", in addition to the message about the specific monster being killed. I don't remember seeing this when I played U4 originally on the C64. Anyone know the significance of this message?

I'm not sure about the C64 but Phantoms are a monster type in the DOS version; additionally, certain bugs will cause the game to state that you have killed a Phantom even if you haven't.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the link. I had forgotten some of the stuff on that page. Completely forgot there was a balloon in U4
