So I have an old Ultmia Collection disc, or whatever it's called. Is it possible to use the Ultima 3 VGA and Midi stuff with this version? Every time I try to run it in Dosbox after patching with Ultima Patcher I get the Wrong Diskette error.

Yes, it was actually designed for the UC version. I only discovered the GOG version later. I would first make sure all the files are not flagged Read-Only, which sometimes happens when you copy from a CD. That one reason this error might happen.
I'd like to mark this as the answer, but I have a new problem. Every time I set the U3 folder to NOT be read-only, it automatically becomes read only again. How can I stop that from happening?

EDIT: I'm using Win 7 64 bit, if that helps. And instead of vanilla dosbox, I'm also using D-Fend Reloaded, since I uh.....don't really remember how to use Dos prompts very well.

It sounds like the game might be installed in C:\Program Files, correct? Try launching the game as administrator.
Ah, I also forgot to mention that the folder the game is in is on my desktop.

I managed to get the files inside the folder to switch to being non-read-only. Still having the wrong diskette error.

Sorry for the double post, but I deleted U3 with the intention of re-ripping it to my computer from the disc, and my dog knocked the disc out of my hand, while knocking me over. I fell on top of the disc, and it broke. So the point is now moot. Thank you for your help, I will mark your solution as the solution, at least until I can get the U123 pack on GOG.

Wow, that's a powerful dog you have! =) Sorry to hear about the CD.
