Running the game through the latest version of DOSBox, I'm having a strange bug occur. Namely, strange things are appearing everywhere, mainly in the overworld. For example, rockets are turning up randomly on the overworld, along with random letters, fields (the ones you need the ring to avoid damage), and other things. Also, 60 power armours appeared in my inventory. Pretty sure I didn't get that just from thieves.

Fist, backup your save and reinstall.
If that doesn't help (the save could be the source of corruption) let us know.
I had actually completely deleted and reinstalled the game, starting over, before I posted this. Oh well, I already finished the game an hour or two after posting this thread, so it's a moot point now. Weird bug, though.

This was a bug in the original. The coordinates of where you land your rocket are stored in your savegame file, but it doesn't also store which era you landed it in. I *think* this was resolved in the U2 Upgrade (can't remember off the top of my head).
No, this wasn't that one. It started before I even got a rocket, and random things were appearing on the overland map, such as letters like the ones in signs, "orcs" which were in reality mountains or otherwise solid objects like walls, energy fields, and rockets.
