I'm sure there are some of you who have had trouble making a new character because of the "no new disk" comment after trying to create a new character.

All you have to do is go to Computer/Local Disk/GOG Games/Ultima Trilogy/Ultima 2/Player

Once you get to the Player file right-click that file and click properties. Then go to a tab where it says "Previous versions". Click on the file located in there, then click the restore option on the bottom. And, you have deleted your current player profile so a new character can be made next time you start up the game.

You can also clear the player disk by opening PLAYER in Notepad and deleting the file contents. The game will accept this as a blank disk.

This also works for a few other old games.
