Is the game supposed to crash when you die ? A message appears saying I'm dead, and I have to force quit DosBox and reload the game to go on....

Also, can all enemies drop torches ?

It's not a crash, it's a feature ;-)
Yes, you have to restart the program to be "reborn" at the point of your last save.

Torches are only dropped by Fighters.
