I know this is a very modern gamer problem, but the mouse acceleration in that game is the worst I've ever seen, I can make the mouse move at a crawl or shoot all over the screen and no in between. Any way to fix that in the GOG release?

I believe this can be fixed with a DOSbox setting.

Under the [sdl] section, look for

sensitivity=100

Crank it up for higher sensitivity and lower for less sensitivity. After some experimentation, you should be able to find a sweet spot.

What I found is setting that to 200 and my mouse DPI to its lowest setting (200dpi). Makes it consistently usable.
If anyone still has trouble after trying this, you can also try lowering the polling rate for your mouse if it supports it.

EDIT: I just remembered, this was fixed specifically in Dosbox Staging. I can't post a link but it was in version 0.79.0 if you want to look it up.
