For some reason the sounds all wrong in the underworld games for me. It seems like it's running on one of those old soundcards where every sound is a piano note. I've been into the config file but nothing I change has any effect. I know that better sound is available, since I had these titles downloaded when they were abandonware with no such problem. Can anyone suggest a course of action for me?

GOG version defaults to Midi music & sounds... Take a look a sticky thread on this forum, there is instructions how you can configure the sounds to be soundblaster emulated.
