Just downloaded Ultima Savage Empire (windows) and wondering if there's any way to decrease window size or play in a way that doesn't go fullscreen. May sound stupid but I tried all the options I know. I have a large monitor, and while I love the game, the graphics are near impossible to decipher when they are that big.

Alt+Enter should window the game, or at least that's the default for Dosbox, which is what GOG runs it through.
You should be able to make it windowed by default by editing the .conf file and changing "FullScreen=True" to "Fullscreen=False"

You may also want apply a scaler so that the window doesn't end up unreasonably small on a high-resolution monitor. "normal2x" or "normal3x" are generally safe to apply. "hq2x" and "hq3x" will apply a smoothing effect but some games don't work well with it.
thanks much!
