Hi, I was playing ultima 9 and ran out of space in my bags while in dungeon destard. I mistakenly dropped the heirloom shield (didn't realize until after resaving and ovewriting) and now can't find it in the dungeon. I need the shield to continue in valoria. Is there any way to restore the shield without actually finding it. In other games you can "cheat" and give characters items. Is there any way to do this in ultima 9.

i'm sorry to report that i don't think there is a way to "summon" another shield. you may have to bite the bullet and go back to destard. the good news is that you will not need to re-fight the battle. if you can remember where you dropped it, you should be able to zip right in and grab it and go back out the usual way.

i can't think of any other way. sorry :-(
