I need to transfer an ongoing game to a new computer and would like some advice. Is it sufficient to just copy all the files over to the new computer? Or do I have to re-download and reinstall it? If I have to reinstall it, how to I get the current character and the current game progress unto the newly reinstalled game?

I may have figured it out on my own. I copied all the files in the Ultima 6 folder over to the new computer. I then used the GOG Galaxy interface to install Ultima 6 on my new computer. this seems to have prepared the game for playing without erasing the progress from the game. Aside from tweaking some of the DOSBOX settings, I think I have successfully made the transmission
