the DOSbox key rebind menu in this game is now lagged. It takes several minutes for it to recognise I've clicked a button, and much, much longer to register the rebind I'm making. Currently I'm trying to rebind the space bar so I can make spaces when typing in-game and not type j instead and it still hasn't registered my key yet at time of writing.

I've now found that not only is the rebind menu lagged, but even if I click the "save keybinds" button, the game does not actually save my changes. I rebound space to left Ctrl and when I tried to add a space in both my saved game and a new game, it did not work. I don't know what to do or why it won't work.
