I'd given up really.

My previous thread was about wading neck deep into "...this thing just isn't gonna run any more..." and one person at least throwing me a line. Way cool right.

I've seen several of these post dating back nigh a decade, maybe two. Posts telling everyone about the success that someone's had, and this one's no different. Not because of any real work mind you, on my part but Ultima IX Ascension Extended Setup b6 b2a.exe ...? WoW. (I don't know if that's the latest version or what-have-you, it's just what I was directed to by another player).

The only thing I did, on a clean install was to throw out any old short cuts laying around, and after setting compatabilty mode to Win98/Me - I created a new one for myself.

I built my 1st pentium back in the when. Built that rig for U9 to run on. As it happened someone came to my door with something called EverQuest that same yr, but I digress.

I don't believe that this game looked, and/or ran this beautifully even back then. I'm stunned and amazed. Thank you!

1. using my native res 1920x1080 the journal is to Big. Everyting, and I mean everything is spectaular accept the book is so big that I can't drag anything to the slots or click the navigation ribbon at the top, as it's cut off. Is there a way to adjust this?
2. Sound *effects are dropped out (which is no big deal, I just noticed it) Music/voice are fine.
3. Lastly how do I know I'm chosing the right a, b, c, or d 1920x1080 setting (for example) with respect to the appropriate refresh--rate, because it doesn't show? Does it even matter.

It's a Great day to be backward compatable.
