Hi, I haven't had any trouble installing and running Ultima 9. The problem I have is that books (including the journal and spellbook) take up the entire screen, and end up blocking the tool bar. So, I can't put spells into the toolbar, nor can I access the ribbon in the journal because the top of the journal is off the screen.

I read that a "fix" is to play the game in a lower resolution. I have tried that (640x480) and it doesn't work. I've tried running it in Windows XP compatibility mode (with the lower resolution), but to no avail. I've even tried many other resolutions but nothing has worked.

Any help would be most appreciated!!

Never mind, I figured out the issue. I changed from D3D to glide and now everything's fine!
