I know this is a long shot, but does anything exist out there for key remapping or customizing some of the interface controls? A traditional mouselook toggling mod like the one for System Shock 1 would be particularly welcome.

Anyway, I'm LOVING the game so far, but the controls are a bit archaic, and adding some things like a walk backwards button (which the manual says doesn't exist) would be really nice.

A cursory scroll through Google turned up nothing.

Oh, and major props to EA and GOG for resurrecting this masterpiece!

Walking backwards? As in X and Shift-X?
I believe DosBOX has some remapping capabilities, perhaps You could try those?
As far as i know, there are no UU mods, sadly.

Ah, you're right, thanks. I'm an idiot and misread what the manual was saying. X does indeed work.

I thought about remapping with Dosbox, but that would screw up my ability to write map notes -- or at least annoy the crap outta me.

Oh well, off to play some more.
