So I've been doing a playthrough of Ultima 1, and everything seems to be going well, until the last session where I suddenly found myself unable to kill even the weakest of enemies. I tried finding my problem online and found no help. As a last ditch resort I am asking for help where ever I might find an answer. Please help my elven cleric kill rats again.

Sounds like you no longer have a weapon equipped. It is possible that it somehow got unequipped? Like maybe a thief stole your last weapon or you accidentally chose equip weapon and then chose hands?
