I'm playing the original ultima, and i'm having a blast, but can someone explain me how to get out of dungeons?
Because i searched everywhere on the web and i dont know how i get out...

On Level One of the dungeon, find the ladder heading up (or cast a Ladder Up spell), stand by it, and then press the K key to (K)limb out. It's the same command to climb down a ladder and go deeper into a dungeon.

Here's the easiest way I know. Whether you are a mage or any other type of character, you get the (P)ray spell. Stand in any space with no ladder and keep pressing P until a ladder up appears. Repeat until you get all the way to the surface. If a ladder down or a forcefield appears, press P again and it will change into something else...possibly a ladder up. Once you leave the dungeon, your HP will increase dramatically as it does every time you spend time in a dungeon. Also remember to either steal at a weapons shop (risky) or visit the signposts. One of them has weapons. Try to get hold of a laser weapon (blaster or phasor) and blast your way through the dungeons. Also, offer pence to kings and they will sell you enough hit points to last for a while in a dungeon.
One more thing- if you've played later Ultimas that have virtues, don't worry about them here. You can be a thieving, murdering scum and still be the hero as long as you eventually kill the Big Evil Bad Guy at the end (even if you are a bad guy yourself throughout the journey.)
