I just want to know if Ultima 9 works on windows 7 or if it just crashes.

Yes, it works for me.
Make sure you patch it up or use the GOG version (and patch that up anyway).

Yeah, GOG version is probably your best bet.

I've played it when it came out in Millenium, later in XP, in Vista, and in 7. So far the GOG version with Windows 7 seems to be the version that crashes the least. In fact, the game is actually playable in the GOG version on 7.

indeed I have played the game for 2 or 3 hours with only one crash.
it works great on windows 7!
