So I broke the glass sword in Forge of Virtue (courage test) on accident. I didn't realize that it broke after you use it and I wasted it on a spider. Is there no hope now? What should I do? I searched the web but it seems that none are as stupid as I am as to actually equip the sword instead of solving the puzzle with it.

You can with the flying carpet. It can just barely land in front of the door near the stone.
