jackfuste from the Widescreen Gaming Forums has managed to fix UFO Aftershock for 1080P - 1024x768 resolution is now 1920x1080. All HUD elements are correctly displayed.

Just a note for anyone running at 1080p but with a shimmery low res look in the missions - turn off Smart Gamma Post Processing in the ingame options, that should fix it.

Hey, I'd just like to say thanks for this! One problem, though, the game seems to be offset to the corner for some reason, cutting off about 3/4 of the picture. What can I do to fix this? Thanks!

You're probably running a different resolution than 1920x1080. Look here:
