To be honest I don´t get it, how someone can think about this game as abandoned.
For me its quite the opposite: its a good exemple that and how early access works on GOG.
Of course to access Betaversions on the unstable branch you need Galaxy.
And thats ok, because I see no other way, how this could work.
But as soon the Beta is patched out and moved to the stable branch,
its possible to download this stable version as offline installer
without the use of Galaxy.
On Galaxy Patches are released at more or less the same time as on Steam.
I downloaded and upgraded to the 2022.1 version just last saturday.
I never ever had the feeling that the developpers had forgotten
or wouldn´t care about me as a GOG customer.
Quite the contrary.
And as you can see, I even write this whole litany only because I´m very happy
with this game and its early access cycles.
