I installed the game and downloaded the soundtrack but I don't know how to make it playable during gameplay.

With other DosBox games it's possible to "emulate" CD tracks, is it possible to do something similar with Tyrian?

The soundtrack you downloaded is just an extra for listening. The game already has the music playable.
