OldFatGuy: If you have a logitech gamepad and the profiler software, I would be happy to email you my already set up profile along with a description of what each key does so you can play Two Worlds one with a gamepad. But I don't think a Logitech profile file would be compatible with the Microsoft X-Box program that maps keys.
I just saw some of the answers to this thread. I want to add that there is a rather strange way to play TW 1 with an Xbox 360 controller (probably with others, too). I don't remember the details, but it involved working with the windows registry editor regedit.exe. There are manuals out there how to activate said controller. Again, a rather strange thing to hide such an option, but it seemed to work for me. I can't give anyone more hints how to do it, I don't remember how exactly it was done.

NightK: And speaking of it, what's keeping Two World II from coming to GoG?
If you haven't already you can vote here. :)
Just one question, "Is the targeting already works for this version?"

I went happily along reading this thread, but then I realized the timestamps, and that these posts are really old xD I installed and played through a bit of Two Worlds 1, and I couldn't take it. The graphics are still really nice, in my opinion. The DoF is a bit blah, but the HDR in the daytime in first-person is breathtaking. Much better than Oblivion, which was the main competitor at it's time of release. I don't mind the voice acting that much, but I do agree that it is awful. What got me was the gameplay. It's just plain bad. I'm not sure how I was able to beat this back when I bought it. The controls are awful, and everything feels so floaty. Bleh. Bad taste in my mouth.

But on the good memories I had from TW1, I had to pick up the second, since it was released today, and is even 50% off (Thank you gog.com!). The game is much more polished and FUN to play. This is one of the prettiest games I've ever seen. The textures and SSAO work together wonderfully, and the environments are beautiful. The combat is also much improved, though they're still trying to reinvent the wheel with the magic system.

I'm only in the second (third?) area, which is a nice savannah, so I'm only two hours in, but so far, the game was worth my $10. I'd love to hear some opinions on the Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion, if anyone's played it. From what I understand, it's also a separate campaign.
