The wolf population must be completely out of control. I have never had to kill so many of them in one game.
There's almost as big a boom in the boar population.

And seemingly a world-wide epidemic of rabies, given how aggressive everything is.

It's not rabies, it's the taint. :)
haha, I just started playing TW this morning and agree. Most aggressive wolf + boar population I've ever seen in a videogame.
Well, I'm still playing and still killing wolves by the dozen. They're everywhere.

PETA must never know about this game.

The good news is that there are many more other monsters to kill beside the wolfs. And later on in the game, as you get stronger, you will brush them aside like mosquitoes. Only the strongest golems and dragons will make you break a sweat.
This thread made me lol... and wonder. So I checked my statistics. I'm about halfway through the game (perhaps even less) and the stats say that I have killed 3654 enemies already (note that this includes harmless creatures like ducks, rabbits and beavers). So I went back to my super secret hideout where I'm stashing ridiculous amounts of garbage - this includes the heart of every single wolf I've killed so far (and I haven't consumed or sold a single one of them). It's 1468 hearts.

I can't even imagine what the numbers will look like towards the end.
Don't play the multiplayer maps then. There's lots of wolves and boars and bears there.

Nothing new in video games though, take rats in Drakensang for instance. Or Humans in... oh wait. Why do some games favour lots of one type of monster? A question that should be asked I think!

At least people aren't complaining about it and instead having fun with it :).

1,468 hearts! I think that deserves a medal.

I've moved on to the sequel, which replaces regular wolves with anthropomorphic wolf-men. There's even a spell that lets you drop anvils over their heads. It's hilarious--straight out of Looney Tunes.
