How come GOG has not fixed this? The problem has been around for some time. I know it is easy for someone to fix, thanks to a file a GOG user(stubbie) uploaded but GOG should fix this.
I believe that this problem arose in the official v1.7 patch. The fix you mentioned is simply substituting the old v1.6 lip synch file into the new v1.7. So it isn't really GOG's fault, and it's probably a hassle for them to officially fix it because they would need to request this specific file from the game publishers, and then somehow figure out how to integrate it. Since this would mean altering the game installer, that's probably not easy... certainly not as easy as just copying the file over after you've installed the game. Maybe GOG will be able to get a fix, but until then it's easy enough on the user end.
Easy fix but only easy because people have access to the file from the 1.6 version right now, thanks to the person who uploaded it. If one day, the person who uploaded this file, decides to delete it, then it would be impossible for people to fix this problem.

Yes, that's true. But like I said, I'm not sure it's an easy fix for GOG to make, either. The error is not GOG's fault, but rather the people who made the v1.7 patch for the game.

It's pointless to fix, seeing as they used cheap American "actors" to butcher the lines anyways (The original language is German!)...I turn off the wretched voices, problem solved!

The developers are Polish... are you sure the original was in German, not Polish?

It was uploaded onto a free server so it isn't for stubbie to delete. Depending on policy change of mediafire whom I believe the file was uploaded to the file should last a long time.

iirc the file was actually gotten from the demo and therefore will exist as long as the demo exists (which will be a long time).

Still gog should at least offer this as a hotfix, not exactly a hard hotfix to create since it just substitutes a file.

...

Really it seems like gog doesn't really support this game. The one hotfix they released added an activation back into the game (might of been accidental but still unacceptable that I had to activate my game because of a gog fix) which they never stated as being fixed.

Holy crap, you're right! I was thrown off by their official website being in Deutsche.

But no matter, the English language version still sucks! ;^)
