It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I just used the hotfix released by gog. Unfortunately it added back in the DRM, including activations. Which my game activated fine but I shouldn't have had to that. At the start I refused to activate so the game put me into "demo mode", which I assume restricts me to the area which the demo is set in.
To make matters worse, it also required me to enter in my serial key just to play single player. Fortunately I just received that or I couldn't play it at all.
So basically my message is, DON"T USE THE HOTFIX!!!
I can confirm this. I have installed the hotfix, and it added activation to my TW :(. Sadly, now I must reinstall the game to play it normally.
I wish I could reinstall mine. Unfortunately I deleted my installer and I am from a country with download caps >_< So downloading it will put me insanely close to having my download speed reduced to dial up speeds. Really uphappy about this.
This hotfix thing seems like bad news to all involved.
Why did you have to install it?
I recently bought TW from GOG and completed it without any issues at all , it seems to be the most stable PC version of the game I have encountered.
( Xbox 360 version, whilst running choppy, was also very stable)

Gog recommended I did when they sent me my multiplayer key. Usually I hold off a little before updating but I trust gog know what they're doing, in this case however they have completely screwed up. The worst bit is that we know that they have done absolutely no testing on this hotfix, since you can't exactly miss a bid "activate" screen before getting to the profile select.
Has there been any word on this issue? I'm tempted to buy this in one or two weeks when I next get paid.
I assume the version that's downloaded from GOG comes with the hotfix applied (therefore DRM) and it isn't something you download seperately from elsewhere.
Edit: I'll rethink buying it due to the drm because of the possible limited activations and such.

Someone should contact support. :P
I'm just about to install Two worlds now and will try single player as I don't think my net speed can cut it for online multiplayer for this game. The graphics seem way too good and that means it will most likely lag like hell for me online. I hope it all works okay in single player mode without the DRM hotfix.
Woah wait up
So if i was to buy the game now, would the version i download currently have the hot fix?
If so i think I'll wait.

The hotfix isn't integrated. It's an additional, untested download. You won't get it unless you specifically download and install it from the other thread.
Cheers Arkose, i guess I'll go buy it after all!
Probably due to how they had their multiplayer set up. Even the manual mentions a different code you have to enter for multiplayer. Hopefully they get that figured out.. but it doesn't sound like it'll mess up your single player if you just don't get the hotfix.
I just got my multi-player key and the email they sent gave me a link to the hotfix. My brother plans on getting the game next week so we can LAN it, will we be able to play fine without the hotfix, or will we have to use them? I haven't put it on yet as this thread seems to indicate it causes a bit of a hassle.

Sorry for the OT reply, but I want to commend you for having your brother purchase another key, rather than just having him DL from your acct. While GOG states that you can DL as many copies as you want, I take it as meaning, as many times as I change computers, and not, DL it to all the friends and neighbors.
Anyway, good on ya.
It's $10, the same game on D2D and Steam is $20, so we got two copies for the price of one is the way we see it :) Thanks for your comments, it's not everyday you get praised for being a good citizen!
