I'm stuck in a weird trap room in river of souls. According to a youtube video, there's supposed to be spiders coming out of the ceiling, and shooting the button should open the doors. I don't have the spiders, and shooting the button does nothing. I can't get out. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I remember being stuck in this room in N64 as well. This was the room you learned to avoid, or get stuck and having to load a previous save. Too bad I couldn't remember this before getting stuck...

Shoot the button with an arrow (normal bow not the tek bow) or type ,,noclip,, in to the ćonsole.

Thanks for the help, but I've tried shooting the button with every weapon available, at every possible angle, but nothing works. Can you tell me how to open the console? None of the usual console buttons work, and googling only turned up advice for the old-school version.

Fun fact: I found the fly-mode cheat (doesn't clip through walls though), and flying next to the button activates the spider spawners, but shooting the button or killing the spiders still doesn't open the doors.

The ~ key. If it doesn't work you can create a text file "config.txt" in ur Turok folder, and type ,,set noclip,, and ,,read config.txt,, in it.


The remaster has some weird problems, Sunfire Pods not working on the blind ones, sometimes the scripting breaks so save often. Free tip the second thermal vent is in the waterfall area after you jump into the hole in the lake (with 2 stone bridges jump form the single platform with the red tokens) took me ages to find it.

The game has all kinds of scripts not triggering. I have one where one of the enemies you have to kill in that level (sisters of despair) won't spawn so the level can't be completed.

The only option right now is to restart the level and hope it doesn't happen again.
