Honestly, I really enjoyed this game back in the day, and I'd like to support it, not only to play it again, but also in hopes of generating enough interest for gog to bring out Turok '08 as well as other sequels in this fantastic series. But I just can't bring myself to pay 16 - 20 dollars for an almost 20 year old game. I'm guessing that gog had to pay a lot of money for the licencing rights. I can't think of any other reason for the game to be this expensive.

Licensing rights? What do you mean? It's on Steam too so GOG isn't the only outlet to own Turok for public digital retail.
