TROPICO 3 GOLD claims d3dx9_41.dll does not exist!!
This is tru and reinstalling the software does not solve the problem!
I run on a PC unde XP PRO SP3 at 3.4 GHz and I have had no problem with
Tropico 1, Tropico 2 or any GOG games so far!

What to do?

OKAY, I downloaded the file and everything works fine! But I think its a shame this file was not in the installment!

That means you don't have DirectX 9 installed on your system. It is required for lots of older titles, including ones from GOG.
