Today strangest victory in my adventures with Tropico happened. I am playing Tropico 3 Absolute Power campaign and it was mission 8 (survive economic crysis). Victory condition: accumulate 100,000 dollars by 1980.
With 6 years left , I had about $55,000 in treasury and... earthquake struck my island, destroying 8 (!) buildings. I thought : "now I am screwed!" But then it occurred that due to the earthquake I received almost $50,000 of humanitarian aid! And I won the mission instantly!
Again, luck was on El Presidente 's side. :-D
