I don't trust Kalypso Media since it is still not fixed for T5...

Or does it work with T6 for someone with the crash problem of T5?

I have the Tropico 5 crash problem, and I can run Tropico 6 without issue. And while I don't trust Kalypso either, the only reason why I risked it with this game is because they're only the publishers, the game was made by a company called Limbic Entertainment.
Please be aware that this is the thread for Tropico 6, not Tropico5.
If you have problems with Tropico 5, best would be reaching out to our technical support via support@kalypsomedia.com with all relevant details in order to get this properly sorted.

Maybe it would be an idea to put the few posts here in the big Tropico forum. That way the communication is way more transparent, which I feel is always a good thing for customers.

I did send in a bug report, but got back nothing useful. As you at Kalypso should know by now the problem does not lie with the customers. It looks to be a problem between Windows 10 and Tropico 5 not wanting to play nice over the sound library when the game tries to access it .

That said it is good to hear from people (Thank you Starving11) that Tropico 6 is not suffering from the same problem. I love the Tropico games and own every game in the series except for Tropico 6. I was hesitant to buy it because of my crash issue with Tropico 5, so in that way they do relate to each other.

I'm still hesitant though due to the Tropico 5 issue, but you have been good with your other games, so I'm still hopeful this will get fixed. That is the reason I might be going for Tropico 6 anyway.
Well that and it keeps on raining here, grey after grey day, I can do with some sun. ;)
Hi CustodianV131,
once again, thank you for reaching out and putting this topic up, yet, this has nothing to do with Tropico 6 and therefore, besides teling you this will be forwarded and needs to be properly reported to our technical support, there is nothing I can add, nor promise any further.

Why would you ever consider buying a game where the devs don't consider a game breaking bug an actual issue in this very game? https://www.gog.com/forum/tropico_6/el_presidente_welcomes_you_to_paradise/post22
Please step away with spreading this false information regarding a supposed to be gamebreaking bug and spamming it across this forum in addition.
It is in fact not gamebreaking in any kind of way, as it does not block you from getting through the game or anything else.
Not to mention, that simply referring to someone else's supposed to be bug-find, without having any more additional details on that matter. This one is not a verified blocker/gamebraking bug at all, nor is it gamebraking in general as you try to claim it to be.
If you think it being game-breaking and blocking you in progressing in the game in general, even from the start, please feel free to get to us with a full report, via our technical support: support@kalypsomedia.com

As be aware, blockers and verified blockers will always be top-priority as the many updates we made in the game since release definitely show and thus also our involvement of the feedback of the community, not just in this case, but many others as well.

Not to mention that we welcome every constructive and detailed feedback we receive and definitely have a look.

Thank you for understanding.

Thank you for the information, I had already red that thread.

My reasoning:
1. The Tropico 6 problem described doesn't look to be a gamebreaking bug (many people playing without having problems with said issue) and Kalypso / Limbic Entertainment are on the case. Many people are enjoying the game and many completed playthroughs are on Youtube.

2. Any software has bugs and or shortcomings. As long as the developers are open in their communication and working towards fixing said issues, I'm quite happy to support that.

You are just as free to not do so of course. Have a joyous day!

A bug that shuts down key buildings due to npc's trying to use the buildings that they are currently working at, which leaves no one to actually work at those buildings, which means no one can receive service from those buildings means that is a continual death spiral. This bug destroys economies. That is, in fact a game breaking bug as it literally breaks people's games.

So you want us to buy the game and see if it's indeed a gamebreaking bug or not ? You think I will buy a broken game to see if it is indeed broken as others have said that it was ?

If there was no bug to begin with. or if it wasn't as problematic as it seems, then no one would be talking about it now, would they ? Yet they DO talk about it, as you can see. And people who actually own the game, talk about it.

More and more people are talking about, and that tells me that there is a bug and nothing is being done about for the last 3 month. And that tells me that your team is unable to fix that bug. So again why would I buy your broken game ? To later realize that it is indeed broken ?

Also, there was time when I/We could trust you guys. But not anymore, you guys have ruined your reputation with each new game. So if you wonder why people don't trust your word, there's a good reason for it. And your company is to blame for that, not the customers. Remember that!!!
