Trine 3 does not boot on my PC, I am running Linux Mint 17.2 x64 (Cinnamon desktop environment) with an AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU (using proprietary drivers) The launcher boots up just fine, however when I click on 'Start Trine 3' the launcher closes and absolutely nothing else happens. Any advice? Thanks!

Linux Kernel: 3.16.0-38
Processor: AMD A8-5500 APU With Radeon HD Graphics x 2 (I am not using the Radeon GPU, BTW)
RAM: 7.6GB DDR3
I have over a TB of free HD space.
GPU: Geforce GTX 260

Same problem here, probably. When i click on "Start Trine 3" a windows tries to open up, but then closes down immediately. I did try different settings - no success.

My computer is a Core i5 with a nvidia graphics card (Geforce 8600 GT) on a linux mint 17.2 with the driver nvidia-340.96-0ubuntu0.14.04.1,

I've actually managed to get some more info. It seems the game is throwing a "segmentation fault". Any ideas??

Did you try launching it from the terminal?

I haven't tried it before you suggested it to me. I tried to boot it up in the Terminal and I get the same behaviour as before, the launcher boots up fine allowing me to set my settings... However, when I start the game, nothing happens. When I try to start the game file from the 'bin' folder, it says I am missing the PhysX shared object file, which is in the proper folder. The launcher probably needs to be run to load that file.

Have you tried using the start.sh file?

Yes, that's the first one I tried. It boots up the launcher fine with no errors or problems.

You may want to try the main Linux troubleshooting forum in this case; Its has a sticky near the top for the General Discussion forum.
