It's been a while since I last played Trine 1 and I have updated my Linux Installation to Debian V10 (Buster) since then. So it took me a while to get it up and running again, but it worked.
I was not able to get the original Trine 1 to work, but the enchanted edition worked. I had to install several packages:
apt-get install libpng12-0:i386 libwrap0:i386 libopenal1:i386 libvorbisfile3:i386 libfreetype6:i386 libgtk2.0-0:i386 gtk2-engines-murrine:i386 gtk2-engines-pixbuf:i386 libudev1:i386 libxss1:i386
libpng12-0 is the only package from Debian Jessie. I also removed the lib/lib32 directory and manually added the executable permission to the executables. Missing libraries can be detected by reading the output of strace. Trine does not offer usefull errormessages when something is missing and just crashes. It also crashes when you run it from the wrong directory.
I hope this helps anyone who has trouble running Trine 1 on Debian V10.
