If you are as annoyed as me about the vibrations of your controller and can't find a option to turn it off then fear not:

A developer of Trine 4 was kind enough to provide a solution:

It is possible to enable cheats ("CheatsEnabled" in %appdata%\Trine4\options.txt) and in game open console with F8 and disable vibrations with command "inputModule:setVibrationsEnabled(false)" (without quotes).

This worked well for me and helped me enjoy the game a lot more.
