i think it's called globocorp, sorry if its wrong....

so, i'm in the vents, trying to go up, but i get stuck completely after going up a few levels and there doesn't seem to be any exit.

is there something special i need to do before i can go through the vents?
or is this possibly a bug?

sorry to ask, but i've been at it for awhile and i have read that this game is very buggy, so i don't know if i'm wasting time or not.

If you are talking about the first time you enter Globocorp through the roof there ought to be a small yellow square that you can enter somewhere near the top.

Yeah the solid yellow squares are open vents that you can use to travel between the building and the vent system. It's not obvious, though, and I got stuck there just like you did. (The yellow dotted ones have grates over them and can't be opened.) There are some more of those vents later in the game, too, in the GloboCorp basement, which you can use to sneak around the level and/or get loot.
