Hey,
Transistor soundtrack page on GOG states that I need Transistor game to play this.

Do we know why this is a requirement? I've already bought Transistor on Steam. There is a soundtrack on Steam also (also as DLC) but AFAIK it's mp3 only. GOG version lists also FLAC version.

What will happen if I try to buy the soundtrack only on GOG? Will it prevent me from buying? Or will it allow me to buy it and then prevent me from downloading (because I don't have a full game on GOG)?

AFAIK, you won't be able to buy or redeem the "DLC" without owning the base game. I believe this is more of a deficiency of GOG's current system which I would hope they are working on fixing. However, for all I know it's some weird licensing issue.
For all who already have the game on Steam, or don't want to buy the game at all (for whatever sick reasons ;) )

the whole thing is also available on Bandcamp:
