I just got past the tower part, where you find 2 people dead next to the Transistor diagrams. The Transistor sword then absorbed both people. But when I looked for their functions in the sword, they were not listed there. I think the name of one of the people was "Kendrell." The sword even said he wanted to question the two people. So why are their functions missing? Is this normal?

I think I figured it out. It looks like you only get the newer Functions once the player levels up some more.

Yes, you only get them later on (level 9-11 I believe). They are named Void and Tap if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, I completed the game yesterday and I found the newer Functions. The final boss that paused time with the Transistor was really tough!

The game had a really good, but bittersweet story. I just wish the story wasn't so short! But I hope they will make a sequel someday! :)

Oh yes, the story was amazing and the graphical style meshed perfectly. I actually like shorter games since it means I get to finish them xD

I also wonder if they will make a sequel to Bastion, since that was a great game too! :)
