With the amount of loks and other types of wagons, buildings, game changes, it is hard to keep track and everything updated.
There are two approaches for mod managers.
Both are bound to the Steam version at the moment, because this was the only platform available at the time they started development with pre-release versions.
TFGM - Train Fever Game Manager
It is heavily bound to Steam with showing information, profile. and obviously requires the Steam version of Train Fever at the moment. I am in contact with the developer, who is willing to make it work with non-steam versions and offered to help testing with the GOG version of the game.
TFMM - Train Fever Mod Manager
Not so much bound to Steam for information and updates, but you cannot start the game, because the 'button' to start it looks for the steam version only and it has no effect if you start the game without this tool running.
Both developers are heavily active and there is much hope for a non-bound version of a manager. :)
