I installed this game on SparkyLinux 64bit using the 4.16.0-13.1-liquorix-amd64 kernel.

I can start the game up but can't get past the start screen where I am supposed to press button "A". I tried to press every button on my keyboard i have and nothing happens. (I have no numpad btw) Is there a way to configure the buttons in some sort of config file?

Judging from reviews and Steam Forum, this game is actually abandonware. Full of various bugs, resetting progress when quitting the game, and, yes - controller issues. Keyboards, supposedly, not supported at all - just controllers. Launching the game with a controler plugged in should, theoretically, let you play - but if it doesn't, then it may be picky as to which controllers it works with, as well.

If your controller is recognized as an "Xbox" controller by other games, then I'd think chances of it working should be higher - but I don't have the game. Just thinking out loud here.

Bummer. Looked like a fun concept in the trailers.

[update] I got the game to recognize my controller! For me the trick was to unplug it from my keyboard (a USB hub basically) and plug the USB dongle directly into a port on the computer. Oddly, the game still complains (Press A!) when I unplug the USB dongle from the hub, but doesn't actually respond to key strokes from it unless it is plugged in directly. :o

I guess the game doesn't like hubs. I feel a little bad about my one-star review now. But only a little.

I have a controller that is XBox compatible and works fine with other games. Aside from pressing A to get to the main menu, it also does not respond at all to input from my controller.

So... I'm not entirely sure there's even a game behind this game at this point. Too late to get a refund, guess I'll just enjoy the menu music.
