The game is bugged and it seems that going "inside" the city with tracks will crash ur game. It will also crash if you have weird intersections on the station. It will also crash if you somehow manipulate the track to build it the way it doesnt allow you "normally". I also found the bug that if two same railroad lines have the same station, somehow train "2" will take passangers not for "2" but for "1" (lol) and passangers "2" will never be taken.

Sadly the ultimate solution for me is to build tracks circling around the city and do not ever try to enter the city with the track to take that sweet spot inside the city... (so saaad). This way I never crash. It still works very nice tho..
