Same here my ffriend looks like the game is kinda broken.

I am having the same issue. Nvidia graphics as well. My specs are fine, but when I try launching the game I get a black screen that doesn't go away until I click the mouse. Tried downloading the k-lite codecs but that did not work. Any help would be appreciated.

me too,

crash log OUTPUTING STACK TRACE: symgetsymfromaddr64 getlasterror 'attempt to access invalid address.
Same thing here, sadly. Looks like a good game. Tried reinstalling, loading that codec, running as administrator - same results. Love to support you folks.
I had this too and tried the same things and it still wouldnt launch.

But, what worked for me in the end, was -

Go to the game directory and look for the blue .exe file.
(it has a big T logo)
Right click that, go to compatability and set it to run in Windows 8 mode.

On the same tab, also make sure you have the "run as administrator" box ticked and apply the settings.

Now try launching the game from its folder with the blue .exe file.
Does it launch the game?

If that works, (or not) do the same settings for the other .exe in the folder - i think it is called "launch"
Windows 8 compatability, tick run as administrator, save and apply settings.

You can create a desktop shortcut by right clicking the blue .exe file and selecting "send to - desktop - create shortcut" but make sure the shortcut has the same settings mentioned above and you should be good hopefully.

I only mention launching the game via its .exe in the folder or a desktop short cut because for some reason it still wont launch for me if I go via GOG, but is ok with my new shortcut with compatability options.

Appreciate the effort but that didn't work for me either. Pity.

Just downloaded game this morning (finally) and this solution worked immediately. Thanks!
Yeah none of the solutions (codec stuff, compatibility, admin, etc) work for me. Just crashes with a message to send to the devs. All my other games on GOG, Steam, Epic, etc have worked right out of the box, so to speak, sorry, if you can't get it to work by default, I guess the game just goes in the trash then...
