Hi all,

We have uploaded the latest patch for Tower of Guns that will update your game to version 1.18c. Please download the patch from your gameshelf at your earliest convenience :)

Changelog Version 1.18c
-Added DiceRoll (Silly) Mode.
-Added a handful of new rooms
-Fixed miswiring of some old rooms
-Fixed issue with loading bypassing battlements sometimes
-Cleaned level kismet up a bit in all brain maps
-Fixed the leveling cheat so it can target ANY equipped gun, instead of
just starting guns
-Added an official backwards mode cheat - “Tog_Imlame sdrawkcab” for
you crazy people out there who play "backwards"
-Potentially fixed (again..sigh..) the issue with mobs being stuck in
“not-dead-but-still-unkillable-mode”
-potentially fixed issue with the egg scrambler lowering below playing
field ...maybe? This is a tricky one.
-Tuned egg scrambler a little
-Added a bunch of gunstats to Tog_hudstats reporting
-Fixed a bunch of collision holes and gaps and population mistakes.
-Fixed shading complexity issue in lx6
-Added a failsafe to shops to recenter loot on encroachment, which
allowed me to flip a collision flag that was causing loot to get stuck
sometimes in gears/lava/etc. It might not be a 100% fix, but it’sa
significantly lower incidence of failure now.
-Nerfed XPPipe AOE damage slightly to prevent so many self-kills. Those
will still totally happen, but if you have a few HP ups it won't still
one-shot you
-Adjusted max luck caps, and fixed bugged luck pickups

Thanks and have a nice day :)
Yer killin' me, Joe! Thought I'd get a chance to take a break from the game for a few days, and then you introduce new stuff to make me want to check out the fixes and additions.

But seriously, thanks for the continued support of this really fun game.
Excellent! I'm glad the game is getting further polish, and more rooms is always a good thing :)
The new patch is pretty good, but it's a shame there is still no way to turn out Mouse Acceleration in the game's menu.

I understand the sort of thing that you and some others are talking about, however I haven't experienced any noticeable mouse acceleration in the menus. The only issue with the mouse that I notice is that, no matter what, the mouse cursor is located in the upper-left corner of the screen each time I enter the menu from the game or start the game client.

Truth be told, since menu navigation is well and truly minimal, this isn't an issue that warrants being poked at. Further tweaking on those acceleration cubes, yes, but not the issue of mouse acceleration in the menu for some users.

If they can't fix the slow mouse issue, It would be nice if they could enable menu selection with the cursor or WASD keys instead.

I take your point, but it must be made clear how minor an issue this is next to other potential issues and QoL improvements.

Please recognise that the menu is only meaningfully utilised at the very beginning of any game (once settings are adjusted, of course) and this is to choose your weapon and perk. Aside from this, the only interaction comes from looking at the Collection and Credits. There is simply no other menu interaction in the game and, of that, the only meaningful interaction is choosing New Game, modifying Endless Mode if desired, choosing a weapon and a perk.

I can understand how the issue can be a pain in the ass, it's something that Dead Island suffered from on both the PC and PS3 in my experience, but much unlike that game where going through the menus happened with some real regularity that just isn't the case with Tower of Guns. It's an issue, yes, but of the most minor kind.

I have to disagree, since every time the player dies, the player gets thrown back to the menus again. It's not like a regular game where the user only uses the menu briefly, then never uses it for hours. ToG, by design, makes it so the player can get killed very easily.

There are other players that have also experienced this slow mouse issue in the menus. This issue could very easily be fixed if the dev could include the ability to disable mouse acceleration.

I don't disagree that it is an issue, however what's being missed here is that the player interacts with the menu for less than 20 seconds each run and that's being a little generous. The mouse movement, while no doubt ponderous for those that experience this issue with the menus, needs to be recognised as taking some extra portion of the player's time and nothing more than that. The issue exists for some people, no question, but this is an issue that is an annoyance that in no way affects gameplay and only affects the player for the very brief time they are in the menus.

It's truly no more than that and of minimal importance.

A more important issue is the 'Built with UDK has stopped working', an issue that is much more problematic in that it prevents the game from so much as launching. I encountered it, posted the workaround that worked for me in another thread, and even played a run with the new patch without issues. About a hour later I launched the client again and was hit with the 'Built with UDK has stopped working' error. I was able to uninstall the game and keep the save files, reinistall the game and patch using the workaround I posted and can play again. This particular error is intermittent, directly affects the ability to play the game and is of more importance than mouse acceleration in menus that will only be utilising minimally, an issue that only affects the menus and of some users.

Please understand that there is a hierarchy of importance and, while the issue you (and others) are reporting isn't a joke, the issue you are reporting isn't critical to launching and playing the game.
