I welcome another twitchy FPS but the rogue-like scares me a little.

So... Who's buying to tell everyone about the ups and downs?
I picked up the alpha version from Indiegamestand some time ago. It's definitely fun and worth a look. Everything is randomized so you'll have a different run through every time you play. I'm still waiting to download the final build so I don't know how much has changed. It's amazing that this was all created by one guy with his brother providing the music.

It's cel shaded, so it looks a little like Borderlands. Control wise, It feels like an unreal game when you are playing it. It is responsive and whenever you die, it's your fault.

I would definitely recommend it.

I just realized it only works on Vista and newer. Bummer.
It works on Windows XP as well. (At least it did last time I ran it.)
Well I'm not going to risk it. Gog's money back warranty doesn't cover the case when the game's requirements aren't met.
Fair enough. My copy isn't the GOG version so there may be some differences.
I got to test the Steam version of the game on XP and can confirm it works just fine.

No real reason why it shouldn't really as it's a standard DX9 UDK game.
just played a bit with it, it looks like fun, at least one game doesn't last long lol.

i'd have prefered a music like quake 2 though. I shall shut up this music soon and indeed put the quake 2 soundtrack instead !

the kind of fast game i'd play during the noon meal time, at work ^^

maybe it's intentionnal, but the textures are "grainy" ? like low resolution.
For good computers, it would be nice to be able to change / mod them.

platforming, bullet hell, i wonder if 5.1 works, because there, it would be very usefull.

for 5$, i'd say, take it, it's like paying for a beer :)
for 10$, i'll have to wait a bit for my review.
for 15$ (later), well. maybe.
It *is* fun. Very difficult, but fun.
Actually, it might be a bit TOO fun - you always get that "I'll just try once more" feeling when you're done with a run.
A few bugs here and there. Definitely fun. Makes my laptop run hot so I knocked the resolution down a bit and that seems to have helped. Framerate was good even at 1920x1080 with my 555GT-M. Looks quite good at 1280x720 that I'm playing at now.

Definitely has that "just one more try!" thing going for it. Some interesting items but some others are of the "uh, what does this thing do?" variety.
