In trying to find how to configure windowed mode I can only come across typing "-d" to the end of a shortcut path as the fix. every time I try on windows 10 it gives me a wrong path error and locks until I have the right path.

is there another way of doing this? Im on a large monitor and cannot play fullscreen well.

Take care to put the -d outside the quotation marks in the shortcut path,
like "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Total Annihilation\TotalA.exe" -d

I also set compatibility mode to Win XP, SP3 and set the desktop resolution to 1600x1200.

I have tried all different compatibility modes as well as different resolutions and I still can't get this to work in windowed mode. :(
