Since I run a linux these days and my old favourite Total Mayhem won't play nice with it, I decided to go on and try TA: Frenzy (this version from mod db). It doesn't ever crash or give other problems of that kind.

The ai does work perfectly (and I have been getting owned by it so that's great), but sometimes units just stop firing at each other, seemingly at random mid-game.

I took note of the fact that units in this mod always require small amounts of resources in stock to fire, but my economy was perfectly alright and capable of maintaining my army when this happened, every time. It also says the AI has some cheats and usually isn't hampered by this.

If anyone knows of a definitive fix, or can point towards such, I'd be very grateful. In the meanwhile I'll just try a complete, clean reinstall and see what that gives.
