I remember there was a button that was pressed to display your current metal making number as well as your energy creation. Can't seem to find which one it was?

Also, how do you get the screen to shrink in size?

It shows your metal and energy collection as the green number just to the right of the metal and energy bars. Green is your collection, red is your consumption. So far as I know, that's always shown.

For the other part, are you talking about playing in a window instead of fullscreen?
I'm not sure, if such a button existed.

If you want to start TA in windowed mode, add a ' -d' to its target in its Windows properties, with the space and without the quotation marks.
I am not seeing those green and red bars. I do remember them from playing the game before. That's why I was wondering if playing in a fullscreen may have lopped them off.

I did try the -d to get windowed mode and still could not see it.

Do you see the long silver bars that graphically represent your stock of energy and metal compared to your overall storage capacity? The green and red numbers are right next to those two bars. If you don't see the silver bars, then you may be right about the screen chopping off the top and bottom bits.

Here's a thread about some community patch that fixed a graphic problem I was having. One nice thing is that it lets you choose the resolution. May want to give it a shot:

That did the trick! My resolution cut off the top two inches of the screen.

The linked patch introduces some other gameplays issues (I mentioned one earlier in this thread) so you might instead want to try the fix shown in the above linked thread.
