Is anyone noticing that 10 speed in this version seems a bit slow? Is it a bug?

I can't be a full 100% sure but the advice to switch to software rendering seemed to do a little. Might be in my head though.

In my case speed 10 is like twice as fast as the regular speed. I have no idea how fast speed 10 should be as I never played the original version.
