So here's a question: Has anyone gotten TA running on modern Macs? When I try to run it on my Mac Mini m2, it simply hangs with zero processing time showing in the Activity Monitor.

It's also not running on my MacBook Pro (M1).
Upon running it nothing seems to happen (no icon in the dock). Then a few minutes later all running apps are kill. There's some serious bug down at a level that kills off every app and background service.
After a little chat with support, they pointed me to an unsupported and not guaranteed option, but which works fine on my M1 laptop:
Go to www.portingkit.com and you can find many older GOG games that are supported by that toolkit, including TA.

This toolkit wraps games in wine, and is able to run at least TA just fine on my machine.

I had to fiddle a bit with the resolution settings inside the game, some of the choices may result in a blank screen once you start a scenario, but I found that 1280x800 worked nicely for me on my laptop screen.
