I couldn't believe this game has a 1GB download. I understand it comes with an expansion and whatnot, but even installing just the base game shows as ~500MB. This couldn't be the size of the game when it was originally released. What's with the size??

This is a full install, including the campaign data and MP maps, which were read off the CD if you chose the minimal install on the CD version.

The game did originally come on 2 CDs after all.

This install includes the original game, along with both expansion packs (The Core Contingency and Battle Tactics).
