After alt tabbing out of Kingdoms, I cannot get back into the game. I'm using Windows 8. This issue does not occur with other versions of Windows that I have used in previous years.

Instead of using alt tab, if you press F1 in the game it will come up with the game menu which will allow you to quit from there

Generally the point of using Alt-Tab is to resume a game without having to quit and restart it.
